| | "Growth Series" The depth and breath of personal histories is fascinating to me. Each life exists as a small chunk in the communal makeup of our journey.
These images of growing things are metaphors for this process. Grasses bloom for a time and quickly die, tall oaks withstand seasons and gales, but they too will eventually fail. Colored blocks describe the passage of time through glimpses of individual moments, days, and seasons.
I am finding beauty in the bonds within community, in the roots that have stretched deep through families, and the hopeful influence of the generations to come. |
